31-year-old police officer, Sohan Singh was injured in a conflict with Anandpal Singh, a couple of days back. The Braveheart who killed the notorious gangster was airlifted at 6 pm yesterday to Gurgaon-based Medanta Hospital. Having suffered from fatal wounds, his condition deteriorated on Friday afternoon. Consequently, the doctors shifted him to the multi-specialty hospital in Haryana, for stabilizing his condition.

Singh received fatal injuries in the conflict, following which, he was rushed to Sawai Mansingh Hospital in Jaipur. A group of doctors, including a general surgeon, neurosurgeon, urologist and an orthopaedician examined the gunshot wounds on his body. The hospital officers assured that Singh was fine, but they couldn’t cure his lung infection. Other parameters of health, such as blood pressure, pulse rate, digestion and body temperature were normal. Nevertheless, the doctors expressed their concern regarding lung infection.

On June 24, Singh suffered injuries on his lumbosacral spine. Due to this, he found himself unable to sit. The doctors diagnosed him with ureteric injuries and multiple perforations in rectum and ileum (final sections of the small intestine). They performed an operation on Singh to cure ‘rectal perforations’ in his intestines after he was admitted to the hospital.

The surgeon retrieved bullet from the right gluteal part of his body. They conducted a surgical operation ‘double barrel ileostomy’ on Singh to remove the damaged part of his intestine. They also resected a segment of ileum during the operation. Further, they performed ‘drain placement’ and packing to stop the retroperitoneal bleeding.

According to Dr. DS Meena, Superintendent at SMS Hospital, the hospital administration offered the best treatment to the patient. The management deployed a group of doctors to monitor his health on a regular basis. Nevertheless, Singh showed signs of septicemia. He stopped responding to the medicines. Seeing his critical condition, the hospital decided to shift him to Gurgaon.

The society has two Rajputs as examples today. One is the notorious gangster Anandpal who killed several people, orphaned kids, and widowed women. The other is a brave QRP commando who risked his life for the safety of his fellow officers. Who do we want to follow? The choice will seal the fate of younger generations.

Currently, we haven’t received any updates on his health. We sincerely wish for his speedy recovery because India needs more officers like Singh.
