The ‘Shaandaar” performance dropped down with disappointing hearts

shaandaar movie reviews

This movie has surely done all odds and evens to promote it to the clouds, and why not when you have such a great star cast and mind-wobbling songs, your expectations are beyond imagination. Shaandaar which had accumulated ample of hype with the first movie of Shahid after ‘Shadi’ with cute and stunning Alia who has won the stage with her back to back hits, Shaandaar seems to be pre-rated.

Well, all that glitters is not gold and so as has happened in this Shaandaar performance where the movie did not satiate audience expectations and finally landed up with thumbs down. As the movie is all about reinventing fairy tale love stories with the help of winsome stars, sorry to say it could not urge humans like us to get that kick.

The movie terribly has nothing of its own to boast of and a terrible amalgamation of all possible ingredients which gives a blind follow. With the shady vision, the movie goes on its cycle and reflects nothing but no story drama.

The story is as fancy as our little reads when we were tiny tots and Papa used to portray a world. In this flick, one day, little Alia (Alia Bhatt, going by her own name) is brought home by Papa (Pankaj Kapur), a man ruled by his money-grubbing mommy (Sushma Seth) and wife. Alia grows up not knowing where she came from, not knowing how to sleep and perchance to dream. And then her Prince Charming (Shahid Kapoor) rides into her life, and everything changes.

The songs created hype and volume and they are enjoyable. But it seems everything in songs is over rated and going in excess. The movie where Shahid experiences a bad script and a bad character, where he is out of his natural charm and putting some super natural waves in the character. The natural charmer of Bollywood who crazy girls with his handsome looks unfortunately could not attract audience. Alia and Shahid look good together, but what is happening in the movie is quite a wobbling deal? Even papaji Pankaj Kapoor could not put on his energetic yet whimsical trait in this dad-son flick.

Shahid’s half sister Sanah kapoor which has been casted as a bride in the movie however, is one such element which helps in healing the ache of audience.

So, guys make your weekend Shaandaar at your own risk, as we hardly saw any shaan in this Shaandaar.
