The Sooraj Barjatiya directorial Uunchai starring Amitabh Bachchan, Boman Irani, and Anupam Kher released on 11th November. From the day of its release film has been seeing growth in collection with each passing day. After opening on a strong note, the collections of Uunchai witnessed immense growth over its opening weekend, with the makers of the film adding more screens and shows as the audience demand for the film increased. On its second Friday also movie managed to hold a steady position in box office collection. As per reports, Uunchai has managed to collect Rs. 1.31 cr. on its second Friday with its newly added shows in theaters due to high audience demand.
However, with the release of the Drishyam 2 starring Ajay Devgan, Tabu and Akshay Khanna, the business of Uunchai has been affected. Drishyam 2 is a long awaited sequel due to which it is certain to dampen the overall collection of Uunchai.
Drishyam 2 is now in the list of second big openings in box office collection as its total business is of 14.50 to 15 cr. just in a day. Given this current trend, though the business of Uunchai faces tough competition from Drishyam 2 at the box office, the Rajshri film is expected to hold its own at the box office window.
