Vasundhara Raje rakhi celebration

The auspicious festival of Rakhi is a celebration love between brothers and sisters. One of the most awaited festivals of Hindu mythology, Rakhi Poornima, also known as Raksha Bandhan, is celebrated in many parts of India and Nepal. In simple words, it is a “Bond of Protection” between brothers and their sisters. This bond could be between anyone beyond the boundaries of caste, creed or color. On Raksha Bandhan, a band is tied around the wrist of the elders with a promise of protection and guidance for whole life to the younger brothers and sisters.

A perfect example of the true spirit of Raksha Bandhan was portrayed by Rajasthan’s Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje by dedicating this festival to common masses as a token of love. She celebrated the festival in a unique way by tying rakhis on the wrists of her RAC Commandos. They provide a 24-hour personal security to the CM. While tying the rakhis to the commandos, she gave a message to them that each and every woman is their sister and they should feel responsible for their security as well. The generosity of CM Vasundhara Raje touched the hearts of commandos and the moment became emotional for them. She set an example for every person of the helm to be kind to everyone and develop a pure connection with the masses. Commandos promised her to work hard and fulfill their duties with all heart towards the women of this nation.

Not only have the commandos, small girls who came from Balgram area, Jhotwara also wanted to celebrate this festival. Raje celebrated the occasion with the girls by getting rakhi tied on her wrist. Each of them was excited while tying the knots of Rakhi on CM’s wrist. The moment was overwhelming as girls were very happy when CM distributed gifts among them. Vasundhara also had a warm conversation with every girl and wished them all the happiness in life. She blessed the girls and prayed for their bright future.

Only a few people know about the brothers from Jhalawar who visit Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje every year from the Bhawganpura area of Jhalawar on the festival of Raksha Bandhan and get rakhis tied on their wrist from Vasundhara Raje. This year’s festival was also celebrated by the two brothers, Ram and Shyam along with CM at her residence. Vasundhara Raje tied rakhi on their hands and gave them gifts. Both the brothers celebrate Raksha Bandhan in a similar way with CM Vasundhara Raje since many years without fail. Both brothers were very grateful and overwhelmed by the gracious gesture of CM Raje.

The festival celebrated at the residence of CM Vasundhara Raje was also attended by many other people like All Rajasthan Integrated Employee Federation President, Mahendra Singh Choudhary along with other dignitaries and officials. Raje was very touched with all the love she received from people on this occasion. She gave her best wishes to everyone who came to her residence for celebrating this day with her and sent plentiful greetings to the whole state on this festival which symbolizes the feeling of love, care, and affection between brothers and sisters.
