Alcatel Flash is the brand of Hong Kong based TCL communication. It launched its latest handset ‘Flash 2’ at Rs 9,299 with largest e-commerce firm of India that is Flipkart. The company is looking to expand its business in India and cementing its ground for manufacturing in Indian subcontinent as it is considered to be the fastest growing nation in the South East Asia. India being the top market with all the features attached has recently became the latest destination for global investment and this will be an add-on feature for the industry.

The company said it is evaluating manufacturing in India to bolster its presence in the domestic market.

As told by the Alcatel Flash General Manager Albert Wong “India is a strategic market for us. It is the top market in the South East Asia region… We are evaluating whether we should manufacture here,” As further added by him, he quoted “He added that though no firm plans have been drawn, the company will most likely partner with a third party to manufacture in India.”

Seeing the market growth, other big brands like Gionee, Xiaomi, Motorola, Meizu have started manufacturing operations in India by teaming up with electronic giant Foxconn. India has the necessary assets to overtake the global major market of US and stand on winning position in its mobile manufacturing sector.

The potential market holders are looking to invest and setting up their operations, undoubtedly analyzes popularity of India as a nation.

As per research from IDC, Shipments in India grew 44 per cent to 26.5 million units in April-June. The new product that is launched has all the major features where the mobile photography is the predominant feature marking this handset a hit. The device features a 5-inch display, 1.3GHz octa core processor, 13MP rear and 5MP front camera, 2GB RAM, 16 GB memory (expandable up to 128GB) and 3,000 mAh battery.

Wong said “We are working on building a community of enthusiasts rather than just selling phones here. We want to be more focused on the mobile photography feature… We will launch two devices next year.”
