LeEco To Recruit Over 1100 Engineers At Its R&D Centre In India

LeEco, the Global internet and technology conglomerate is planning to build up and strengthen its recruitment efforts in India which is one of its strongest markets. The company has planned to hire approximately 1100 more engineers at its Indian Research and Development centre by 2017.

The company has planned to hire from tier-I engineering colleges like the IITs and the NITs across the country. The news that LeEco is hiring over 1100 engineers in India has raised a hope among the fresher giving them a chance and an opportunity to be able to work with the company.

“We are humbled and excited to see the interest amongst students’ community to work with us. Many of them came to attend our test braving heavy downpour and flood like situation that Bangalore witnessed last week,” said Head of LeEco India R&D, Shrinivas Bairi.

“The skill sets we are looking for are areas including modem technologies, BSP, multimedia, TV Broadcast and internet technologies. Indian R&D team will be involved in both commercialization and localization support for all the devices launched in India. The centre will churn out innovations and work with China and US R&D centre.” added Bairi.

The company has also planned to start a camera image engineering lab for image quality, antenna/RF designing and a turning lab for smart devices very soon. The R&D centre will also help the company to assemble all the local needs, support Indian languages, follow government systems like Panic button and GPS requirements, and fulfil the various carrier requirements. The R&D department will also help the LeEco Company in the customization of its products before they are launched globally. This new centre that will developed in India will further develope some amazingly new features and cutting-edge technology that will also be patented in India.

As per the report, apart from developing cutting-edge technology for the various smart phones, tablets and other such smart devices of the company, the India R&D centre will also help LeEco’s ecommerce marketplace, LeMall.com. The company is trying to develop data analytics and machine learning tools in India and the R&D department will help the company with the same so that the company could improve the customer experience and sales.
