The former Aam Admi Party (AAP) member advocates Prashant Bhushan and his father Shanti Bhushan, jointly slams Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal yesterday 27th November over the proposed Jan Lokpal Bill. The duo raised demand to Kejriwal’s resignation, claiming a deviation in what was actually proposed during Swaraj Abhiyan and what is being framed to be tabled on Monday 30th November.
Both Prashant Bhushan and Shanti Bhushan were among the founding members of Aam Aadmi Party, but due to some ideological differences had distanced themselves from the party. They alleged that Arvind Kejriwal has promised a strong and independent anti-corruption, but failed to do so. The allegation continued with a remark that “he came into power for the Jan Lokpal and has gone back on his words,” as said by Prashant Bhushan in a media conversation.
Bhushan said the proposed bill will not be independent and has been kept under the government, in the draft. Hereby describing it to be a bigger joke than the center’s Lokapal that Kejriwal had dismissed once as “Jokepal”.
This particular bill will not create independent agency claimed ex-party members. They both helped AAP in drafting Jan Lokpal during 49 days government in year 2013. Now, both the voices are against the Lokpal bill, which is diluted from the original one.
On the other side Delhi government has extended the winter session by week, with an aim to table the bill on Monday
