From desert to a progressive urban centre, Rajasthan—the desert state of India witnessed drastic changes in key sectors of development. Annapurna Rasois brought food on the plate of every deprived individual whereas Jal Swavlamban restored greenery to the sun-parched scorching deserts. Annapurna Bhandars eliminated blocks in public delivery system while Bhamashah yojana empowered women with the chance to lead their families. In short, Rajasthan paved way for development, with a series of powerful schemes trailing behind it.

Rajshree, Shubhlakshmi, Chirali, Devnarayan became a common household name. To boost the success rates of individual schemes, Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje ordered an exclusive multi-layered computerized map for online monitoring of individual schemes. The digital framework will comprise all details pertaining to the scheme, including date of launching, budget allocation, approval and sanctioning, list of beneficiaries, geographical location and progress of different schemes.

Working in this direction, the CM held a meeting with different departments (water works, energy, water supply and public construction). They’ll be the first ones to get involved in these schemes. CM Raje has instructed officers to prepare a blueprint and updated database consisting of actual facts and figures.

Following computerization of government projects, the CM will monitor real-time progress of various schemes. Any officer or agencies involved with the scheme will be penalized for delaying its processing. Other than this, BJP Rajasthan convener had set defined objectives for different departments—

  • Power & Energy Sector: To cap power theft within 15%, to maintain constant communication with public representatives and to supply electricity in every village and district, under Deendayal Upadhyay Gramin Jyoti Yojana.
  • Water works Department: To hire a private agency to manage government-implanted RO and water ATMs for five years, to resolve water crisis in state before summers.
  • Water supply & public construction: To prepare a 3D map for Brij 84-kos parikrama yojana.

With Rajasthan state assembly elections nearby, the government plants to complete its projects on time, before elections.
