Salman Khan swaps ‘BeingHuman’ with ‘BeingSmart’. SEE WHY?  

The Bajrangi Bhaijaan actor, Salman Khan is diverging his brand ‘ Being Human’ venture into the smart phone business. He is in between talks with many investors to lock multi-billion dollar deals with the same.

Salman Khan follows the footsteps of peer actor Shah Rukh Khan who has also ventured into business lines other than film production, entertainment, competitive sport and branded clothing.

The Bollywood superstar, who owns the Being Human clothing brand, has registered the ‘BeingSmart’ trademark for smartphones. The novice brand is targeted towards the entire middle market segment.

If reports are to be believed, the multi-product brand will price the phone anywhere below Rs. 20,000. Hence, it will be giving a tough competition to Chinese smartphones like Oppo, Vivo Xiaomi, etc.

“BeingSmart will be positioned against the Chinese smartphone brigade – Oppo, Vivo and Xiaomi — at a time domestic handset makers such as Micromax and Intex are facing tremendous competition,” an official informed.

“And, like the Being Human apparel line, proceeds from the profit will be ploughed back into charity and social work that Salman Khan does with his Being Human Foundation,” the official added.

The Being Human brand is licensed to MandhanaBSE -5.00 % Retail Ventures. It has various outlets operational across the country. These stores have gained large momentum in sales which are increasing rapidly. Thanks to the fan following of these actors who have reined the Bollywood industry for not less 25 years.

The ‘BeingSmart’ smartphones will hit the online markets to compete with larger cellphones and electronic retail chains.

Reportedly, these phones will also be on shelves at ‘Being Human’ stores.

If rumours are to be believed, the Khan family is in between crucial administration and working on the final stage before the brand launches it’s phone segment.
