Rajasthan: Will the public vote for Vasundhara Raje or CP Joshi in the state polls on December 7?

Sachin Pilot is young, energetic but does he have what it takes to become the Chief Minister? Well, the answer might not be in the affirmative. The party has fizzled out the issue of announcing a chief ministerial candidate.

The ritual of alternating governments in Rajasthan is working in favor of Congress, but is it in favor of Rajasthan is the larger question, as that’s what matters. The opinion polls have reversed in the face of splitting election campaign of Congress.

The incoherent rallies and uncalibrated messaging by the Congress has made the party fall flat on its face. With the elections just three days away now, Congress President is making new promises, levying new allegations and introducing new hopes.

The three leaders of Congress- Sachin Pilot, Ashok Gehlot or CP Joshi could become the chief minister of the state, if and only if Congress wins – the chances of which are quite slim. We don’t even know who will be the chief minister, so on what basis does the party expect to stitch their vote banks?

The habit of keeping the public under wraps has been a thing in politics, and more so with Congress. The opposition political party is conducting rallies across Rajasthan but not gaining traction. The indecisiveness of the party is sure to take a toll on the tally.
